Nigeria’s president Muhammadu
Buhari is in Niamey, the Niger capital where he is meeting with the
President of the West African country, Mahamadou Issoufou, which borders
Nigeria to the North.
Niger Republic is the first
foreign nation to be visited by President Buhari. He is also expected to
visit Chad on Thursday before returning to Nigeria.
The president’s team has also announced that he would be traveling to Berlin, Germany on Sunday for the G7 summit.
The delegation from Nigeria and
their Nigerien counterparts are currently in a meeting discussing the
common security challenges being faced.
