Our Heal the Streets fellows are Graduating!

,

Heal the Streets means being a part of something that impacts your community. We're able to have fun, be creative and productive at the same time.  – Nubia Bowe
Nubia is just one of the amazing youth leaders who I've had the privilege to work with this year in Heal the Streets. Will you join both of us for an evening of community, youth performances, food and fun at the 2012 Heal the Streets Graduation-Celebration?
If we truly want to address violence, we must engage youth impacted by it so they can heal, have positive alternatives, and take action. That is what Heal the Streets is all about.
These amazing young leaders have been working hard for 10 months, developing their own Participatory Action Research project about the root causes of violence. They created an interactive theatre piece, performed it for community members throughout the East Bay, and documented all interventions and solutions.
Now they’re ready to share their findings with the community -- be the first to see the youth’s creative and inspiring work. Also, join us for some good food, music from DJ Sake 1, and photo-booth fun! RSVP now to celebrate the power of youth.
